#2016EdmontonOpen Table Tennis Championships: Social Media


Smart PhoneIf you’ve played with us at the Edmonton Table Tennis Club (ETTC) or have competed in our annual Edmonton Open, you might have noticed that we have a presence on various social media platforms.  For the upcoming 2016 Edmonton Open Table Tennis Championships, you can see what our club and tournament are all about and communicate with us.  Here a run down of what we have and what it does:

1.  Twitter (@yegtabletennis) For this year’s tournament, use the hashtag #2016EdmontonOpen.  We’ll post event results here and other witty thoughts and observations.

2.  WordPress:  The official blog of Edmonton Table Tennis Club (ETTC) – hint…this article is on our blog.  Find out all about last year’s tournament here.

3.  Facebook:  Our club’s official page is a closed group, so please visit Facebook and request to join and we’ll add you to the group.  Talk about table tennis.  We have lots of members who are experts on technique, rules, equipment, etc.  Or just post a funny video clip, or whatever.

4.  Youtube:  Our club’s video library!  See how the media covered us!  Or watch previous year’s Edmonton Open highlights and much more.

5.  Instagram (@yegtabletennis) Also use hashtag #2016EdmontonOpen.  Take some pics or video, jazz it up with some filters and look cool by sharing it with everyone!

6.  Flickr:  This is our club’s official photo album.  You’ll find all our photos from events throughout the years.

The 2016 Edmonton Open Table Tennis Championships takes place September 3rd and 4th at the University of Alberta’s Saville Community Sports Centre.  The Edmonton Open is an annual tournament organized to Table Tennis Canada’s (TTCAN) 3-star standard and is hosted and run entirely by volunteers of the Edmonton Table Tennis Club (ETTC).
